It was the early 1990’s. Quartz watches were ubiquitous, reliable and accurate. Could Grand Seiko make a quartz watch that would stand above the rest?  The answer was ‘yes’. Created in 1993, Caliber 9F took quartz to a new level with its ±10 seconds per year precision, its dual-pulse motor, its wide and highly legible hands, the Backlash Auto-Adjust Mechanism and instant date change.

Today, Caliber 9F remains at the pinnacle of quartz horology and the watches it powers are as refined as you would expect of Grand Seiko. The most advanced quartz watch in the world? It might just be.
