The very first Grand Seiko watch in 1960 was a dress watch with a round case. Today, this emblematic style in the Elegance Collection also has a case that curves softly from the middle to the tip of the case lugs. Like its predecessor, it has a manual winding movement whose slimness allows the case to have a thin profile and to fit snugly on the wrist. But there the similarities end as SBGK007 has a new movement with a power reserve indicator and a small seconds hand. Further, it has the distortion-free surfaces that only Zaratsu polishing can deliver. Times change.
